A DIGITAL LIBRARY WITHIN THE REGIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM – SOFIA
RESUME
The announcement gives a brief overview of a small digital library within the Regional History Museum – Sofia, created as a part of the ClaDA-BG project. 742 books, mainly concerning the post-Liberation history of Sofia, were selected from the museum’s library and digitised. The books underwent OCR processing and were saved in the archival PDF/ A-3a format to ensure long-term compatibility and accessibility. The processed works were organised using Zotero, an open-source reference management software. The digital library is available for use on-site and museum staff can further access a cloud-based version.

THE VIDEO SERIES “THE BUILDINGS TELL THEIR STORIES”: STORIES OF URBAN MEMORY
RESUME
This article presents the complete process that led to the creation of the video series “The buildings tell their stories”, which serves as a tool for the visual and social representation of Sofia’s urban history. The series focuses on buildings in Sofia and the individuals associated with them, which often remain outside popular public interest but constitute important carriers of historical and cultural information. “The buildings tell their stories” consists of two seasons, covering a total of nine buildings in the central part of Sofia, including both residential and administrative structures. The first season features: the house at 7 Budapeshta Street, the story of Georgi Savov (E2, S1); the house at 29 Bachо Kiro Street, the story of Dr. Kostov (E3–4, S1); Musala Cooperative Palace (E5, S1); Central Sofia Halls (E7, S1); and the house with the publishing office of Olga Futekova, 21 Alexander Dondukov Boulevard (E8, S1). The second season covers: the house of Evgenia Mars, 39 Bacho Kiro Street (E1, S2); the Splendid Palace and Sofia Palace hotels (E2, S2); the industrial heritage of Samuel Patak (E3, S2), and the legacy of Gen. Racho Petrov, 3 Khan Krum Street (E4, S2). The article outlines the stages of information collection and processing, as well as the objectives of the project. The series functions as a kind of digital narrative through which Sofia’s cultural heritage is documented, preserved, and popularised, while integrating historical data, visual materials, and personal testimonies.
